2007-07 Suggested Timeline and Milestones for
Accreditation Standards Learning and Assessment Teams
By Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 15
The team should have met at least once. There should be a plan of action for completing the assessment work. There should be plans to create engagement across the campus.
By Spring Break, March 23
Assessment and engagement activities should be well underway. There should be draft narratives on at least 50% of the standards being reviewed. Ohlone Stories should be identified and writers identified.
Between Spring Break and Graduation, April 2 – May 24
Assessment and engagement activities should continue to completion.
Writing of Ohlone Stories should continue.
Update reports will be made to the College Council.
By Graduation, May 24
There should be draft narratives on all of the standards being reviewed.
Evidence portfolios should be complete.
Drafts of Ohlone Stories should be complete.
June
An editing/formatting team will meet for several days to compile the narratives and develop a unified format. The team will also review the Ohlone Stories and determine the best way to weave these into the Self-Study Report. A draft of the Self-Study Report will be produced.
Summer
The College Council, as the Self-Study Steering Committee, will review the Self-Study Report draft and develop the schedule for refinement, review and approval before submission to WASC.
August – November 14 Refinement, shared governance review of the Self-Study Report
November 14 Board Review and Approval of Self-Study Report
November 21 Submission of Self-Study Report to WASC
December – February, 2008 Planning for the Site Visit
March 3-6, 2008 Site Visit
